Come and move at the Bouge Pointe-Claire 2021! Take part in a 5km running competition on the weekend of September 25th and 26th 2021!

Vaccination Passport

  1. The Vaccine Passport is mandatory to participate in the race.
  2. You must have the Vaxicode application on your phone or print your QR code.
  3. 2 pieces of identification will be required to validate your identity with the QR code presented.
  4. You must validate your QR code with your 2 pieces of identification before picking up your bib. Plan to arrive early so that the team can validate your QR code in a timely manner.
  5. No QR code sent in advance will be accepted.
  6. No refunds for missing or invalid vaccination passports.

Participants from outside Quebec

Individuals travelling to Quebec will be required to present photo identification and proof (provided by their country or Canadian province) that they have received two doses of a recognized vaccine from among the following:

Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Covishield, Janssen (requires only one dose)

Key Health Measures

We follow the recommendations of public health and the guidelines of the Quebec Athletic Federation. Here is an overview of the main measures:

1. Mandatory hand disinfection upon entering and leaving the site.

2. When you pick up your bib, the team will validate your vaccination passport or the printout of your QR code. If it is invalid, you cannot participate in the race.

3. As soon as you arrive at the competition site, a mask must be worn at all times by all participants aged 10 years and older. The mask can be removed once you receive your bib and can respect a 1 m distance with your peers.

4. There will be several hand sanitizing stations on site and near the restrooms.

5. The 1m distance must be respected at all times.

5 km start time:

Bib number pick-up:

Arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time to validate your vaccination passport QR code.

Once your vaccination passport is validated, you will be able to pick up your race number at the registration table. You will also receive a bracelet as a confirmation that your vaccine passport has been validated.

  1. The registration fee is $45.00
  2. A platform fee of $2.95 as well as GST and QST will be added to your order.
  3. Online registrations will close on the Thursday before the event.
  4. You can transfer your bib on site when you pick up your participant kit.

Cancellation and refund policy

  1. In the event that the event must be cancelled or held in an adapted manner, including a virtual race, for reasons beyond the control of the organizing committee such as weather or a pandemic situation including Covid-19 and/or any other case of force majeure, no refund will be possible.

The participant’s kit

  • Your bib number will be given to you at the BougeBouge booth near the start.
  • Your choice of BougeBouge accessory, your finisher’s ribbon and your snack will be given to you at the finish line

We don’t offer a conventional medal, but rather an eco-friendly BougeBouge ribbon!

Water Station

They will be no water station on the track for a 5K race. Nevertheless, there will be a water station at the finishing line.

Timing :

  1. Gun start and manual timing Sports Stats (2021).
  2. Results will be by age category ( U5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, 13-14, 15-19, 20-29… up to 60+)
  3. All results will be posted on Sportstats
    In the case of a virtual event, each participant will have to fill out the form: Submission of results Sportstats BougeBouge 2021- Code Red

Course :

  1. Secured (volunteer service, police, cadet)
  2. Mile markers and signage on the course
  3. First aid service at the start and finish line

Water station

There will be no water stations on the course other than at the finish line. We suggest that you bring your own bottle if needed.

 

Toilets

An outdoor chemical toilet or access to a toilet block will be available at the start.

Eco-responsible instructions:

  • Please put the waste in the right recycling bin.
  • Do not throw waste or masks on the ground during your activity
  • Bring your own water bottle for refilling at the tap

We are working hard to ensure that all our events meet our eco-friendly goals.

  1. This race is affiliated with the Quebec Track and Field Federation.
  2. It is forbidden to start with a dog.
