The unique Montreal Underground 5K is back!
We will be running a 5km from one end of the Montreal Underground to the other, starting at Cours Mont-Royal and ending at Complexe Desjardins. The Montreal Underground is one of the most beautiful jewels of the city. This underground network covers 32 kilometers of tunnels and is visited by nearly 183 million people each year.

Bibs pick-up
Date: Friday and Saturday before the event
Time: Friday 5pm to 7:30pm and Saturday 10am to 1pm
Location: Provigo Angus Jean-Marc Fortin 2925 Rachel Street E, Montreal, QC H1W 3Z8 (free parking)
OR On the day of the event at the IA Crossroads: Arrive at least 45 minutes before your start time to pick up your bib at the registration table.
Bib transfer policy
- You can make a free bib transfer during the bib pick-up period with proof of payment of the ticket to be exchanged.
Registration fees
- Ticket prices: see the box office at the bottom of the page.
- Prices will increase by $5 per month during the 90 days prior to the event.
- A platform fee of $2.95 +3% of the transaction as well as GST and QST will be added to your order.
- Online registration closes the Thursday before the event.
Payment methods
- New registration by bank transfer, during the number collection period only.
- Online ticketing: Visa, Mastercard, Paypal.
Bib number transfer policy
You can make a free bib transfer during the bib pick-up period with proof of payment of the ticket to be exchanged.
Cancellation Policy
- Race tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by BougeBouge. In this case, BougeBouge will refund the ticket price and the service fee charged at the time of purchase.
Included in race registration
- A finisher’s prize will be given to you at the finish line and can vary according to the season such as: a cap, a toque, a bandana, a key chain, a t-shirt etc. The organizers reserve a surprise for all the races.
- A traditional medal will be given at the finish.
- The photographers will publish a photo album of the event on our Facebook page! Like our Facebook page in order to receive notifications of uploaded photos!

Kids sizing chart
Headphones
The Quebec Track and Field Federation does not recommend wearing headphones during the race. If you wish to run with music, you must be able to hear outside sounds such as a runner asking you to give way or a volunteer giving you instructions. This is for your safety and the safety of other participants and volunteers.
Checkroom
There will be changing rooms at the start at the Carrefour Industrielle Alliance with 120 places offered to the first come. You must pick up your accessories at the start before 10:15 am.
- Cost of 2$ payable online. A TAG and a bag will be given to you when you pick up your bib. On the day of the event, hand in the TAG (filled out) and the bag at the place dedicated to this purpose near the start in the food court. You will have to come back to pick up your equipment at the end of your event by taking the metro via Place des Arts to Peel and passing by Cours Mont-Royal to get back to the start. (Free for registered volunteers).
- You are responsible for picking up your items upon presentation of your coupon at the drop-off location before 10:15 a.m.
- Please note that we are not responsible for loss or theft if you decide to leave your belongings there.
If you park your car in the underground parking lot, we suggest that you leave your warm clothes in your vehicle.
Please note that the departure and arrival points are not the same. The departure is at Carrefour Industrielle Alliance and the arrival at Complexe Desjardins. Plan to buy a metro ticket in advance or keep a credit card with you during your run to pay for your metro ticket for the return trip via Place des Arts to Peel.
Toilets
- Cours Mont-Royal: Metro Level – 4 M & F washrooms
- Place Montreal Trust: First floor on the restaurant level (Garden level) – 10 M & F washrooms
- Eaton Centre: All floors – Variable at least 3 M & F washrooms
- In all sections; look for public signage
Water station:
One (1) water station will be present on the course at 3km at the World Trade Center near the Berlin Wall as well as a snack and a small glass of water at the finish.
Parking and public transportation:
This year, we will meet you at the Carrefour Industrielle Alliance as a starting point. The Carrefour is located at 977 Sainte-Catherine Street West, between Simons and the Scotia Bank Cinema. On Sunday, the doors will open at 5:00 am. To get to the start, you will have to take the escalators that will take you directly to the Carrefour Industrielle Alliance food court. Alternatively, you can go through 1440 Metcalfe Street (doors open at 8am) and go through the Food Court level to find us at the Carrefour Industrielle Alliance. Parking is free on the streets of Montreal on weekends.
Please note that the start and end points are not at the same locations.
You will be able to park inside validating the hours of operation, as some indoor parking is not open early in the morning except at Complexe Desjardins (please validate) fees may apply. See other possibilities HERE
STATIONNEMENT: Le stationnement extérieur est gratuit le week-end au centre-ville de Montréal. Vous avez l’option de vous stationner soit au départ près du 1440 rue Metcalfe (départ) ou vous stationner dans les rues entourant le Complexe Desjardins (arrivée). Vous aurez l’option de laisser vos vêtements dans votre véhicule ou utilise le vestiaire au départ pour le coût de 2$.
ACHAT DE BILLET DE MÉTRO: Attention si vous laissez vos vêtements au départ vous aurez jusqu’à 9h30 pour récupérer vos biens autrement ils seront remis à une cause de charité. Prévoyez l’achat d’un billet de métro d’avance pour retourner au départ (Métro PEEL). Du Métro Peel vous arriverez dans les cours Mont Royale et suivre le couloir jusqu’à la foire alimentaire du Carrefour Industriel Alliance en dessous du magasin Simons. Demander à la sécurité de vous donner vos vêtements sous présentation de votre dossard. Nous ne sommes pas responsables de vol ou bris de votre matériel.

La station de métro la plus proche du départ est :
- McGill : En provenance du métro McGill, vous devrez passer les portes du métro vers le Centre Eaton et Place Montréal Trust pour vous rendre au Carrefour Industrielle Alliance.
- PEEL (Départ): Le départ se trouve sur la ligne verte au métro PEEL. À la sortie du métro Peel, vous devez passer les portes des Cours Mont-Royal et continuer tout droit vers le Carrefour Industrielle Alliance.
- PLACE DES ARTS (Arrivée): Pour ceux qui terminent et veulent retourner au départ il faut prendre le métro Place-des-Arts en direction Angrignon. Vous devrez passe dans le corridor de la place des arts en provenance du Complexe Desjardins.

Spécifique : Quand on prend le métro place des arts pour entrée au complexe Desjardins: Il faut sortir dehors. Nous ferons face à la rue Jeanne Mance, on tourne à gauche jusqu’au coin de la rue St-Catherine. L’entrée du Complexe Desjardins se trouve au coin Jeanne Mance et St-Catherine c’est par ici qu’on entre dans le complexe!

- Au cours des derniers mois, BougeBouge est venu avec pleins de nouvelles idées pour faire vivre ou revivre aux coureurs une expérience unique en collaboration avec Destination Centre-Ville, Ivanhoé Cambridge, la ville de Montréal et l’arrondissement de Ville-Marie.
- Le Montréal souterrain, ou réseau piétonnier souterrain de Montréal (RÉSO), est le réseau de ville souterraine de Montréal. Ce réseau souterrain couvre 32 kilomètres de tunnels. On lui donne depuis 2004 le nom officiel de RÉSO. Le RÉSO est fréquenté par près de 183 millions de personnes chaque année.Les tunnels et galeries permettent de relier de l’intérieur plusieurs édifices à bureaux, des complexes résidentiels, des centres commerciaux, des universités, des résidences de luxe et des hôtels. Les tunnels contiennent aussi une large gamme de restaurants et de boutiques allant du très chic au bon marché. Le Montréal souterrain contiendrait d’ailleurs près de 12 % de tous les commerces du centre-ville[réf. nécessaire]. Le réseau souterrain de Montréal permet de faire du magasinage en évitant les intempéries de l’hiver québécois.
- Pour réaliser cet événement BougeBouge doit collaborer avec plus de 17 propriétés privées. Mais le résultat en vaut la peine, car courir un 5km à travers cet immense labyrinthe intérieur aux corridors emblématiques nous rend très fier.
