BougeBouge 5km Montreal Underground

The Montreal Underground, or Montreal Underground Pedestrian Network (MUPN), is the underground city network of Montreal. This underground network covers 32 kilometers of tunnels. Since 2004, it has been officially known as the RÉSO. The tunnels and galleries connect many office buildings, residential complexes, shopping centers, universities, luxury homes and hotels from the inside. The tunnels also contain a wide range of restaurants and stores from the very chic to the inexpensive. In fact, Montreal’s underground is estimated to contain nearly 12% of all the businesses in the downtown core. Montreal’s underground network makes it possible to store while avoiding the inclemency of the Quebec winter.

Through this immense indoor labyrinth, participants will walk their 5km through Les Cours Mont-Royal | Crossroads IA (Industrial Alliance) | Place Montreal Trust | Montreal Eaton Centre | McGill Metro Station | Promenades Cathédrale | Place Ville Marie | Central Station | 1000 De La Gauchetière | EXO | Place Bonaventure | World Trade Center | Victoria Metro Station | Jacques-Parizeau Building | Palais des congrès de Montréal | Complexe Guy-Favreau | Complexe Desjardins.

Headset

The Quebec Track and Field Federation does not recommend wearing headphones during the race. If you wish to run with music, you must be able to hear outside sounds such as a runner asking you to yield or a volunteer giving you instructions. This is for your safety and the safety of other participants and volunteers. Due to the complexity of the course, its stairs and narrow corridors, strollers will not be allowed to enter the event.

Stairs

There are two very important rules related to stairs: the use of escalators is prohibited and no steps may be taken up and down twice.
